Shopping Arena
Website

Shopping Arena is a mall in the area of St. Gallen. Their new website consists of a solid, modern grid system that allocates importante information for its users such as openning times, shops, events and promotions. Many elements of the page are exchangeable such as the homepage grids and the background, giving it just enough elements of renewal.

Digital Art Direction / Webdesign

Our client came to us with the task of modernizing their current page, which was heavy due to the great ammount of elements placed as images. We have then started thinking of a fluid grid structure that was mobile-first designed and worked size via CSS.

As per requirement, we have kept a similar palette of colors, focusing more on designing a modular grid that could reshape to meet responsiveness and be constantly changed with different informations of the Shopping. It has been determined by data analysis that some highly required information such as opening times and sales annoucements had to be kept on the surface as the first thing to be seen, while other important information such as events and shops would required their own page. Because the load of data was so big on the site, we have opt for a multiple page.

In the next step, after the design of the first proposal, we have then started to make adjustments in the old website identity that could bring it closer to a modern and more fashion-oriented public. That being said, a palett of colors with coral, marine blue and dark gray were picked.

Once all the wireframes, sitemaps and UX/UI decisions had been settled, we designed a full site with 3 Homepage grid variations (hero box, 2 main grid and 3 main grids), that the client can use as per necessity. Informations such as Sales and Campaigns have been arranged in order to be always present, regardless of the area the user is in and a Newsletter was designed in the same fashion of the website.
