Rockmock is a trio rockband from the swiss Rheintal. Their project generated a series of photoshootings, a website and set the start for their vintage-inspired visual identity in tones of bourbon and natural landscapes.

Rockmock was looking for a direct channel with producers and fans. Their main goal was to build an identity and to have an online channel they could send to potential bars and festivals.
At our kick-off meeting we've stablished that the website would display straight away Rockmock's new album. Following that line of thought, we've decided to make the page multimedia by adding a tasteful slowmotion of a guitar to a hero banner at the top. By attending some of the band's reheasals I was able to capture spontaneous pictures of the members of the band and start our construction, completing the media pack and the base of the project.

By taking a look at the band's instruments, rehearsal sets and sound, we have arrived at a palette of colors leaded that could go either bourbon or dark red (wine). To avoid clichés, we have picked the ladder.
The idea was then to mix the vintage palette of dark red, black and white with contemporary typography and sofisticated looks. We have chosen the webfont Lato to guide the typography and started out with a one-page design where we could display big pictures and have lots of white space, making of this an enjoyable decluttered user experience. The main players on this visual should be Rockmock's pictures, hyperlinks and the important element of the Concert's Agenda.
At the end of the project we accomplished a cohese and straighfoward design that provided all the important information about the band and served as a digital business card of Rockmock's sound and style. The video as the hero image brings the page straight away on a sensorial experience, which is added by the (required by the briefing) audioplayer. This is then followed by a quick presentation of the band, of its members and by an Agenda where fans can track the Band. At last we have added a place for contact and violà.
